Brenton Freeman, better known as B Free, is a Detroit-raised rapper who utilizes his emotions, stories, and undulating melodies to captivate his audience and encourage them to be themselves boldly, building a family not a fan base. A musician since the time he could walk, B Free, with his brother and producer Prod. ByBert, fell in love with performing and creating music that makes people move. Over the years, the Federation Music Group artist has shared the stage with artists like Lil Wayne, Young Dolph, and Rich the Kid while collaborating on the highly-anticipated single “All Mine” with Diggy Simmons and working on his own soon-to-be-released EP, “Lost in Paradise.” He has released a solo project titled “Motor City Menace,” an EP titled “Gold – EP” with Forever Golden, a song titled “Way Too Much” on Rel Carter’s “No Handouts,” and multiple singles such as “What Are the Odds” with Helluva and his breakout track “Platinum Plus.” The envelope is being pushed for what defines hip- hop in Detroit and B Free is on the frontier, expressing himself in music that is unapologetic and irresistible.
As he won Imported from the D elevated by the crowd, shook the stage at the 97.9FM Little Caesars Arena Concert, and watched “Platinum Plus” prosper, the city’s embrace has been made clear and has not gone unappreciated. Through school tours, volunteer work, sponsorships for the youth like Fresh Empire, and consistent support from Federation Music Group, B Free and his manager Marcus Miller have returned to Detroit all the love they have received.
